The 2017 China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fair will be held in Guangzhou from May 26 to 27.
The fair will promote the development of high-end, industrial, and global projects in South China.
The Guangdong capital will host the event at the China Import and Export Fair Exhibition Hall on Pazhou Island, where more than 700 exhibitors are expected to showcase some 20,000 innovations and projects.
Covering 20,000 square meters, the exhibition area will feature more than 20 special activities, three innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, and two road shows.
"This event has attracted a large number of domestic and overseas elites and their projects," said Zhang Jianhua, deputy secretary general of Guangzhou Municipal Government. "We should make it a distinctive exhibition nationwide."
The fair is organized by the Guangdong Provincial Government, the China Association for Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the Jiu San Society.
Guangzhou's GDP reached 469.2 billion yuan ($68.2 billion) in the first quarter of 2017, increasing by 8.2 percent year-on-year and exceeding national figures.
